Short film opportunity

The other day I got a phone call from a filmmaker who knew he had some great rushes, he just didn’t want to edit them!

After a telephone consultation we agreed he would entrust me with his baby… a film about a visionary guy who lives in the West Country and designs the art that goes on LSD sheets. A few days later the drive arrived in the post. Gingerly I plugged it in…

Yup, it was a trippy film. LSD has that effect. He wanted me to play with it for 2 days, and see what I could come up with.

The footage went into my Premier Pro, which has an excellent transcription function. This really speeds up the editing process, at least it does for me. A film quickly started to emerge from the chaos. He had shot well and the main participant, named Lucifer, was fascinating.

We played with adding music but it was too soon. He was happy with the end result, I’m pleased to say! He’s going to take this semi-rough film and use it as a sales pitch for more filming.

Good luck Jake in your quest!
